From Beehive to Glass: My Story
Save the Queen is more than a brand – it is my calling. In 2014, I started as a beekeeper, driven by a lifelong fascination with nature, insects and plants. What began as an ecological paradise in my garden grew into a passion that never let go of me. I deepened my knowledge of bee biology, took courses and eventually became a master beekeeper and recognized instructor. Each year my knowledge expanded, and with it my insight into the inexhaustible wealth that bees give us.
The moment everything changed was when I had a large surplus of elderberries. Friends suggested the idea of processing this together with my honey in a gin. I experimented, tested, refined – and then the first 250 bottles of Save the Queen were a fact. What started as an experiment grew into a unique range of artisanal spirits and honey products, each with an authentic story and a direct link to the beehive. I don't work for a business plan; I work for the bees, for nature, and for you.
Today I am not only a business owner, but also an author, trainer of beekeepers and actively seeking innovations that help bees and our ecosystems. Through an association I also support large regions in nature conservation, wildlife management and the fight against Asian Hornets. Save the Queen is my way of making that story tangible – in a bottle, a jar, or an unforgettable experience where you meet the real beekeeper yourself.
